DiSC® profiles for recruitment and hiring
Making sure you hire the person who fits your organization can save you thousands of dollars. The average cost to rehire an employee is 25 to 250 percent of their annual salary. Therefore, DiSC profiles are often used as part of recruitment or in the on-boarding process for a newly hired employee. Use DiSC to understand your company’s culture and how your employees fit in.
Job seekers often find these profiles helpful for identifying skills and behaviors they'll want to highlight in an interview or on a resume. DiSC tests can help you write a resume, job application or prepare for an interview by identifying “key” words to use and to identify your stress points and motivation.
DISC is not recommended for pre-employment hiring screening because it does not measure a specific skill, aptitude, or factor specific to any position. DISC instead describes one's work behavior patterns or style. And a person’s DiSC style should be used as only one data point in the hiring process.
Team Dimensions 2.0 is often used with Everything DiSC Workplace® or DiSC Classic® 2.0 Plus to create the most comprehensive description of a person. This profile helps people understand their roles on a team, and introduces a process that gets new teams moving forward quickly and gets current teams unstuck. DiSC describes who you are; Team Dimensions describes what you do and the talents you bring to a team.
